Chimney Caps
Why Do I Need a Cap? I Need More Information.
Our "lifetime guaranteed" caps protect against rain, animals, birds, and leaves. They may also help with smoking problems. You need a chimney cap because rain attacks mortar joints, causing cracks, brick erosion, and an overall weakening of the whole structure of your chimney. Although a cap cannot stop all moisture, it will prevent rain from pouring down your chimney year after year and rusting your damper and damper connections. Without capping, your chimney will experience greater down draft, hence increasing your utility bills. And let's not forget our animal friends! They will eventually find your chimney if they haven't already. A cap can stop birds, squirrels, and raccoons from venturing into your home. Even if they don't come down the chimney, their droppings mixed with the rain and warm weather can set off a foul smell that you won't enjoy.
Custom Caps
Lifetime Guarantee!
A custom cap covers the entire top of your chimney and must be made-to-fit. Some people prefer its look to that of a standard cap, but both styles are sturdy and made of 24-gauge steel. Some chimneys have a damaged mortar crown that will need the additional protection of a custom cap to prevent further erosion. The price of a custom cap is based on the size of the top of your chimney. We will be glad to provide you with a free estimate for your custom cap.
Price: From $325 and Up, Installed
Standard Caps
Lifetime Guarantee!
A standard cap comes in several sizes and is bonded to the outside edge of your chimney top opening. For this reason, the mortar crown on top of your chimney must be in good condition or your cap will not be securely attached. We will check your chimney's crown for you to see whether it is sound. If not, we will recommend repairing it or installing a custom cap that will cover the entire top of the chimney. We then paint the cap to help prevent rust, usually in black unless you request another common color.

Gas Logs
Golden Blount Gas Logs
Gas logs have become very popular in the last few years. We carry only the best: Golden Blount! Our most popular styles are Round Mountain and Texas Bonfire. These styles come in various sizes (some from 18" up to 36"). All of them are quite beautiful, they provide additional warmth to any room, and they are so easy to use. When you are ready to leave home or go to bed, you simply turn them off. This eliminates the worry of hot embers left unattended, something associated with burning real wood. Or, if you have purchased your logs elsewhere, we can install those for you at a reasonable fee. Please call for your brochure of Golden Blount selections.

Dampers / Damper Parts
Keep heat and energy in, and rain and animals out.
You've got a fireplace problem you probably don't know about! It's your damper. It leaks. Not a lot, mind you, but enough to cost you over $200 a year in lost energy.
The Lock-Top damper seals tight with a silicone rubber gasket. That's right, our damper seals with rubber gasket, not metal-to-metal like your current damper. A Lock-Top damper seals tight, so virtually no air, hot or cold, gets lost up your chimney.
The Lock-Top also eliminates downdrafts, seals out rain which deteriorates the inside of your chimney, and prevents entry by pests such as squirrels, raccoons, and nesting birds.
The Lock-Top mounts on top of your chimney. On top? Yes - the perfect location to create an airtight seal.
A cable drops down your chimney's flue and attaches to a handle mounted where you can reach it for convenient opening and closing.
Superior stainless steel and cast-aluminum construction equals a lifetime warranty. The Lock-Top damper is made of cast-aluminum and stainless steel, precision-fitted with our special silicone rubber gasket. These high quality materials add up to a factory lifetime warranty for you.
Say "YES" to savings — put the Lock-Top damper to work for you! With a Lock-Top damper, you save energy, stay warm or cool, protect your chimney from damaging moisture, and safeguard your home from pests. These benefits will all be yours when you say "YES" to Lock-Top!

Exhaust Fans
Occasionally, a fireplace is designed poorly and it doesn't draft properly. In these cases, we sometimes recommend the installation of an exhaust fan at the top of your chimney. An electrician will mount a switch on a wall near the fireplace opening. Once this feature has been added to your fireplace, you may build a fire, flip the switch, and the exhaust fan will help draw the smoke up your chimney, allowing you to enjoy your lovely fireplace without filling your house with smoke.
